WHY GOALS ARE IMPORTANT IN LIFE?
I am literally saying to you, suppose a soccer team is all charged up and enthusiastically ready to play a game, but when someone takes the goal posts and goal lines away, what would happen to the game? There is nothing left. How do you score? How do you have arrived? Enthusiasm and excitement without, direction is like wildfire and leads to frustration and depression. Goals give a clear sense of direction where to go.
Decide what you want, and go after it with everything you have got. Just do what you love and success will follow you. Right now start. Get to work. Wait for nobody. Just start now because every day you waste is a day will never get back.
Is it a correct way to live our life without having any goals? It is absolutely, not. Then why people don’t decide their destination throughout their life.
Nothing happens; or no forward steps can be taken unless you have a clear sense of goal. Individuals without goals keep wandering throughout their life. They are always confused with never knowing where they are going so they get never anywhere.
“A goal is not only earning money. It is a part of it”. As water is crucial to life, so goal is essential to life to get success. You must know your clear destination where you want to go.
“Life is like a ten speed bicycle, most of us have gears but we never use”.
“The important thing is not where you were or where you are but where you want to go that matters our life.”
Most persons even don’t know what their true purpose of life is. If you are one of them, ask the answers of these four questions written below. If you don’t get answers in asking once, it doesn’t matter. You can go further asking for a few days. You will definitely get the answers.
- What do I love to do?
- What am I good at?
- What is important to me?
- What was I born to do?
Once you find the answers of these four questions, it is your purpose of life. But, after finding your purpose of life set your goal. You can set your goal as the goal chart is given below. After that you fill the life time boxes of the goal chart first because it is your purpose. And to reach your purpose, fill up the goal- chart all boxes from the bottom.
While setting your goal, ask these questions:
- When will I achieve it?
- How will I achieve it?
- Where will I achieve it?
- With whom will I achieve it?
